Plant Stand
1 / 4
A plant stand in ash and elm, reinterpreting the Victorian Jardinière with contemporary proportions. Three splayed ash legs support an elm top and base shelf, finished with a water-resistant oil to handle moisture from plant pots.
Ash suits the legs: straight-grained and resilient, it holds the splay without flexing. The elm top and base shelf are chosen for their figure; elm grain is unpredictable in a way that makes each board its own, and its character gives the piece a warmth that more uniform timber cannot. Available to commission in alternative timbers or to different heights.
