A stool in English oak with a hand-stitched saddle leather seat. The splayed legs meet at a central joint, giving the piece a low, grounded stance.
The seat is hand-stitched in natural vegetable-tanned saddle leather using waxed linen thread, pulled tight by hand; it hardens and darkens with age and use. The leather is not dyed and will develop its own patina, the colour deepening where it is handled most.
The oak is English grown and air-dried, with the grain and variation of slower-grown British timber; available to commission in oak, ash, or walnut with a choice of leather colour.
